What are the different health insurance products you offer?

Health insurances are distinguished between IPD, OPD, and income compensation:

 

IPD - Health insurance for an inpatient hospital stay of at least 6 hours, which must be overseen and ordered by a doctor.

What is IPD?

IPD (In-PATIITE-DEPATENT) is a term for patients who are hospitalized for at least 6 hours after diagnosis and on the orders of their doctors.

What is OPD?

OPD (Outpatient-Department) or outpatients are patients who come to the hospital for treatment and see a physician for a diagnosis but are not admitted as inpatients. 

How much does a IPD and IPD/OPD policy cost?

The price of the insurance premium depends on the type of insurance. For example, a male IPD applicant aged 35 can only expect an average premium of about 15,000 to 18,000 baht per year, with a total premium of about 700,000 to one million baht per year. If the insured applies for the IP plan and OPD, average premiums are 25,000 to 30,000 baht per year (with a coverage limit of 2,500 to 3,000 per time).

What are critical illness products?

How can I renew my existing health insurance policy with Rabbit Care?

Yes. Contact the sales representative to present the insurance premium that you consider and submit the information below:


1. Copy of the last policy
2. Renewal notice from the insurance company

 

If coverage renewal has been agreed upon with Rabbit Care, the client must send a copy of their ID card to authorize Rabbit Care to renew the policy with the following message: “Consent for Rabbit Care to provide renewal service”. After Rabbit Care's sales staff receives the documentation, the case is forwarded to the insurance company, which transfers the right to service the client to Rabbit Care. The insurance company will take approximately 7 to 15 business days after your original policy has expired.

What is a coverage?

Coverage compensates the policyholder in the event of a loss caused by an accident under the conditions specified in the insurance policy.

Do you offer health insurance plans for families?

We offer insurance plans that cover both individuals and families.

What is the health questionnaire?

A health questionnaire is used to compare whether or not the insurance company can provide coverage.

What is a grace period?

Sales personnel usually contact customers at least one month before the insurance expires.

What are the conditions of the waiting period?

The waiting period for individual insurance policies varies, as most insurance policies do not require a health check before the guarantee is taken out. For all individuals with general good health, the waiting period is 30 days. For serious diseases and specific diseases such as lumps, water bags, talisil, gallstones, pterygium sections, varicose veins on the legs and if the endometrium is not in good condition, a period of 90 to 120 days applies.

Do I need to have a health check-up?

Most health insurance policies do not require you to have your health checked before you take out the policy. However, it is advisable to have a routine annual checkup with a doctor based on your lifestyle. If an abnormality occurs, the doctor can advise and treat you immediately.

What is a lump sum payment?

The lump sum is the amount of insurance that the insurance company agrees to pay in the event of a particular illness of the insured and is not based on the actual medical costs of that illness.

Is the insurance premium tax deductible?

Those who purchase health insurance for themselves may use the premium paid  for tax reduction up to 25,000 baht. Health insurance together with general life insurance or life insurance together with annuity life insurance may not exceed 100,000 Baht/year and deductible premiums may not exceed 215,000 baht/year.

What are the underwriting criteria?

Underwriting criteria are guidelines established by insurance companies to make decisions about accepting, modifying, or rejecting a potential insured. Insurance companies use statistics to support their decisions.

What are the age limitations when purchasing a health insurance policy?

The minimum age is specified in the terms of the policy, and usually includes ages 15 days to 65 years.

What is the doctor consultation service?

The medical consultation service is a new type of service that insured persons can access online or by application when they have signs of health problem.

How can I access the doctor consultation service?

You can get a complimentary online doctor consultation from the insurance company that includes this service in their policy terms and conditions by simply registering the first time before you use the service.

Payment

What are your supported payment channels?

Customers can choose between 2 payment methods: via PromptPay or debit/credit cards and by paying the total amount or in installments.
 

What is the payment process?

There are 2 types of payment options as follows:

 

1. QR code
   1.1 The sales representative will send the payment link to the channels they have been instructed. You can check the link via LINE, FACEBOOK, SMS, and email according to the channels received.
   1.2 Click the link to open and pay.
   1.3 Scan the QR code to pay via the bank app.
   1.4 When the payment is completed, customers will receive a receipt by email.

 

2. Credit card/debit card
   2.1 The sales representative will send the payment link to the channels they have been notified. You can check the link via LINE, FACEBOOK, SMS, and email, depending on the channels received.
   2.2 Click on the link to open and pay.
   2.3 Enter your credit/debit card details to pay.
   2.4 When the payment is completed, customers will receive a receipt by email.

I have not received any payment link, what should I do?

Customers must contact Customer Service to report new payment information or provide basic information such as vehicle license plate number, order number, phone number, or name through the following channels:

Where can I find my payment receipt?

Customers who pay the full amount will receive a receipt by email within 1-3 business days after payment.

 

When paying in installments, customers will receive a receipt via email within 1-3 business days after payment the first installment.


For the next installment payment, the customer will receive an SMS after successful payment.

What documents are required for the purchase of the health insurance policy?

Cancellation

How can I cancel my policy?

The original policy may be canceled in accordance with terms & conditions by sending the following documents to Rabbit Care Broker Company Ltd.:

 

1. Copy of the ID or a copy of the passport of the insured person
2. Name change certificate (in case of change of name).
3. Actual insurance policy/bill (In case of lost documents, customers must report it and attach the actual notice instead).
4. Copy of the car purchase contract in case of car dealer (if available).
5. Bankbook (The name of the account holder must be the same as the name of the insured in the insurance policy).

How much refund will I receive after my policy cancellation?

Customers receive the refund after submitting the actual contract document to the insurance company with a receipt and a tax invoice. 
The insurance company determines the refund amount according to the rules established by the OIC.

Renewal

How can I renew my policy?

Rabbit Care will contact customers within 45 days to make the insurance premium offer. Rabbit will call you and you will receive a text message with the links to pay for the renewal, or you can contact the following channels by providing any of the information (order number, phone number or name)

Why did my renewal premium increase?

The insurance company will not accept a renewal if there is an additional premium from last year that has not been paid due to a claim before the original policy expired. The same applies if the original insurance premium does not cover the total loss.

I had an accident what should I do? / I have a claim, what should I do?

Customers can take the following steps:

 

1. Contact your insurance company to file a claim or report the accident.
2. If there are injured people, call an ambulance or rescue team. If you don't know how you can contact the Care Center by calling 1438 and pressing 0 so we can also coordinate emergency assistance. Or contact us through the LINE OFFICIAL ACCOUNT @Rabbitcare. The staff will ask for customers' details.

How can I claim if the hospital I've chosen is not a partner hospital from the insurer?

Check the customer's policy first, whether the hospital network is specified in the treatment or not. If there is no case, the customer will have to reserve. And send a direct claim to the insurance company The documents in the direct claim are as follows.
